I used to have a Belkin one which gave up on me only after a couple of years use. When I got this product I realised its not a print server in real sense but one that needs its USB dongle plugged into a PC and for others to share this print server the PC where the dongle is plugged in, should be always switched on and the virtual printer shared with everyone on the network. If a household has other laptops or device which can accept the USB dongle then it can be shared. It wastes power, the concept did not have a lot of thought put in and frankly for the price I paid I could get a cheap print server from china for less than half the price. Worse come worse I could use my spare Raspberry Pi to act as print server and that wouldnt need a dongle and a dedicated PC to be kept on all the time. I was a bit worried due to previous bad experiences with hp printer routers, but this was a very nice surprise. I unpacked everything (2 usb cables, a micro to standard usb, and another usb printer cable, the power supply and the router itself), and for a change, I followed the instructions carefully:) So, I inserted the DVD and followed the instructions on screen and voil, besides the 10 minutes waiting for the epson site to deliver the drivers (even with a 50 Mb connection from my side), it all worked right from the box. In 15 minutes I had one laptop (XP Professional) and one PC (with Windows 7) printing and scanning (one operation and one client at a time, no simultaneous usage). Hp 2101Nw Wireless G Print Server Software Update The DriversSadly it will not work with my Win7 64bit as HP has neglected to update the drivers for a Win7 64 or 32bit configuration. Hp 2101Nw Wireless G Print Server Software Software For WIN7I would have awarded the print server with the full 5Stars, but HP have not bothered or have any interest to upgrade the software for WIN7 32 64 bit configurations. Brilliant on the laptop and my wifes desktop, but for reasons far from clear a real pain on my machine (of course). Just doesnt want to connect to my computer without lots of messing about, then springs into life for no observable reason. ![]() I just inserted the disk, attached the PC to the server and the printer, and then ran Autorun from the disk. All installed straight away, including installing all drivers without me doing anything. Took maybe 10 minutes but just followed the on screen instructions and hey presto, once I unplugged the PC and followed instructions to connect (right clock on connection manager in bottom right corner of windows and select connect), and then printed a word document.
